چکیده
To the Editor: Generalized morphea (GM) is a rare subtype of localized scleroderma characterized by widespread involvement. GM defined presence at least 4 lesions larger than 3 cm that involve 2 anatomic sites.1Laxer R.M. Zulian F. متن کاملClinical and pathological features of generalized granuloma annulare with their correlation: a retrospective multicenter study in Korea.
BACKGROUND Generalized granuloma annulare (GGA) is a benign skin disorder of an unknown etiology. Though some cases of GGA have been reported, few systemic reviews of the clinical and pathological features of GGA have been performed. OBJECTIVE The purpose of this study is to analyze and correlate the clinical and pathological characteristics of GGA in Korean patients. METHODS We conducted a...
متن کاملMulticenter study of clinical features of sudden-onset versus slower-onset asthma exacerbations requiring hospitalization.
BACKGROUND Asthma exacerbations differ in their speed of symptom onset. OBJECTIVE To characterize and compare demographic factors, clinical risk factors, and clinical outcomes among hospitalized patients who presented with sudden-onset (<or= 3 h) versus slower-onset asthma exacerbations, across a wide age range. METHODS We reviewed the medical records of a random sample of 1,294 patients, a...

Results At diagnosis the mean (SD) ages were 12.25(0.27) and 33.93(1.32) yrs, whereas the mean follow-up 6.63 (0.59) and 11.6 (0.7) yrs, for jSLE and aSLE respectively. General features, hepatosplenomegaly, lymphadenopathy and haematology abnormalities were more frequent in jSLE patients (p1=0.001, p2=0.025 and p3<0.0001, respectively), whereas photosensitivity was commoner in those with aSLE (...
